A Lakewood ranch, bought exactly as it stood

A 1926 Colorado Springs house that had outlasted its systems
A coal stove still standing in the block-walled basement, beside a water heater long past its service life. A bedroom ceiling down. A cellar door rotted through at the base where water had been running in for years. Out back, an open-sided workshop and a yard's worth of equipment.
Windcrest bought it as it stood. The photos below show the house as we found it, and how it finished: an opened kitchen and living area, a rebuilt bath, a finished basement, a cleared and refenced lot.
Old houses with old problems are the ones we want. A failing roof, a basement you'd rather not go into, an outbuilding holding forty years of equipment — those are reasons to call us, not reasons to wait.

An Aurora two-story that had been let go a room at a time
Nothing dramatic had failed here — it had just been years since anything was touched. Stained walls and matted carpet in the bedrooms. A kitchen still built around an oak peninsula and worn tile. A bathroom that hadn't changed since it was installed. Out back, a yard gone to seed against a leaning retaining wall.
